Renowned for their arduous duty cycles and extreme loading necessitates continual maintenance and repairs to the crane rails. Rapid Rail works closely with many companies to ensure continuous, uninterrupted operation of their production cranes.

There are many different power producing operations such as coal, combined heat and power (chp), gas, hydro and nuclear, all having varying and demanding methods of production. All power producing companies aim to maximise the production and distribution of their power generation. Allied to this are their obligations and commitments to environmental and social issues.

Automated warehouse cranes are key to accurate and time effective handling. Accuracy is demanded in the installation of the floor rails to ensure appropriate interaction of the crane and racking. Rapid Rail has been selected time and time again as preferred installers capable of achieving the exacting standards required.

Modern aluminium smelters employ many cranes throughout and the continuous process demands constant availability of the cranes and therefore the crane rails. Rapid Rail have carried out major work in many plants and have great experience in working in this very difficult environment.

A project to replace the rails and support system for the world famous Lynton & Lynmouth cliff railway. Opened in 1890, this masterpiece of Victorian water-powered engineering ascends and descends 500 feet. We have undertaken a project to replace the entire 862 feet of rail and support system over a 5 year period for the Lynton & Lynmouth cliff railway.
