COVID-19 Update -02.04.2020
During this most concerning time we would like to keep you updated with the most recent action we are taking to Safeguard our Employees, Customers, Suppliers and Business stakeholders at this time, whilst continuing to operate at a reduced capacity, adhering to the latest Government Guidance.
With regards to availability, Rapid Rail continue to carefully monitor the situation in respect to Covid-19 and are closely following the UK Government and NHS guidance in terms of conducting work activities. In the short term, we will continue to offer emergency engineering services in priority areas if possible, throughout April 2020.
We have already taken a range of measures to adapt our working methods, such as working remotely, social distancing, where remote working is not possible, improved hygiene standards and providing regular updates and feedback for our employees to keep them safe and informed.
In addition all our Engineers are required to wear P3 dust masks when travelling in vehicles and wear Airfed Masks on site when 2 metre distancing is not possible. Each emergency project is risk assessed to cater for these measures and on the necessity to attend site, to ensure ultimate protection for those involved. We kindly ask our clients to support us in helping to keep our employees safe if they are required to attend site by maintaining the same standards we are trying to adopt, as set out with government guidance.
However at present from May 1st we will be adopting Furlough Leave for the majority of our staff until further notice. We will be planning in Projects with availability from 25th May 2020 however Project start dates will be subject to review, in line with any further government updates. Rapid Rail management will liaise with Clients on a regular basis to discuss any implications throughout April whilst the offices remain operational. Throughout May our response to emails will be limited so any projects that are required to start in May will need to be catered for asap.
Please note, that due to the current situation if project start dates do need to be delayed, then any impact on project timescales, for program deliverable will need to be catered for by the Client. Rapid Rail accept no responsibility for any delays or costs incurred at this time.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your continued custom and support at this time and we want you to know, we will keep monitoring the situation to make necessary adjustments to ensure we can resume normal services as soon as safely possible.
